Global Business Travel Association

In the four years I worked at GBTA, I managed all branded web content while working closely with a team of contractors in the Philippines and California and in-house staff.

Major Upgrade

In 2018 I helped with a $900K website overhaul. This update enhanced the design, user experience for members and sponsors, and created an association member portal.

Site Speed Improvement

With the site overhaul and bringing GBTA up to speed with website and search engine best practices, I increased page load speed by 11%.

Front End Development

I quickly learned how to put my HTML5/CSS3 skills to use while creating GBTA's many event websites on a .NET platform. This included UX design, web design, coding, SEO, and content implementation.

Training

I trained internal staff and contractors how to manage GBTA's many websites. This included a 2 hour hands-on UX workshop at HQ.

GBTA Convention

2018 - Berlin

I designed and developed the site skin to match given brand guidelines for the GBTA Conference 2018 - Berlin. I took content given in plain text and created visual hierarchy and compelling CTAs.

Using this template, I created the sites for both GBTA Conference 2019 - Toronto and GBTA Conference 2019 - Mexico City.

404 Page not found

One of my favorite projects at GBTA was designing the 404 page. Even though the goal is for no one to ever see it, we know that it happens from time to time.

For this page I wanted to be cheeky while providing useful information to get the users to where the wanted to go. Since gbta.org was designed as a "search-first" site, I wanted to draw attention to the search bar. After that, links to the home page, member hub, blog, and contact pages are prominent.
